We’ve wrapped up our tenth Create the Offering Forum (CTOF) and it was a very powerful two days. We continued to focus on Delivering Awesome Product Experiences… at scale…with agility.
It was the continuation of a multi-year transformation journey to become a product and platform company. We have so much momentum right now – a clear strategy, an evolved CDI model that builds durable advantage through products and platforms and sets us up to solve two-sided problems. We've organized ourselves into ecosystems and improved transparency and operating mechanisms, all to position ourselves for the next chapter of great.
Over the course of CTOF we talked about three key elements that will accelerate our journey and give us a higher probability of success:
1. Customers. Getting back to our roots and having a relentless focus on the customer benefit. And, recognizing that we have another customer in the services world – the developer.
2. Services. The only way to make our One Intuit Product and Platform strategy a reality is through services. That means product teams agree on what services they plan to produce, consume or contribute to. It’s the only way to move fast and be agile.
3. Ownership. With a new incentive program and services assessment tool, we’ll have transparency into the quality of services available making it easier to build solutions around the globe.
As I reflect upon my experience at CTOF over the past two days, I can’t help thinking it all comes down to … you. As legendary basketball Coach John Wooden said, "A player who makes a team great is much more valuable than a great player.” Intuit is a team sport. We restructured the company from silo'd product teams to an ecosystem where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
If we embrace all these things, we will fulfill our mission to improve customers’ financial lives so profoundly they can’t imagine going back the old way.
After 13 years with this company, I've never been more confident in our future. Lets go make it happen! #OneIntuit
