Team, we’ve done it again. For 13 years in a row, Intuit has made Fortune magazine’s prestigious list of World’s Most Admired Software Companies. This year, Intuit took the No. 4 spot among very respected companies! To be clear, this is not to be confused with Fortune’s Best Companies to Work For ranking, which will be announced next month.
As you know, 2015 was a challenging year. We navigated some significant change, but I’m proud of what we accomplished. As our transformational journey continues, we’re increasingly recognized as a thought leader and tech innovator. In 2016, I know we’ll all look for ways to double down on what’s working, while improving on those areas where we can do better.
Spread the good news!
I encourage you to share the news of Intuit’s ranking on your social networks, you can share this IntuitLife post with your Facebook friends. Read the full list here. It will also appear on newsstands next week. To view the Computer Software industry rankings, use the filter tool in the white box near the top of the page.
How Fortune decides the ranking
The Most Admired list is the definitive report card on corporate reputations. Fortune’s survey partners at Korn Ferry Hay Group started with approximately 1,500 companies: the Fortune 1,000 - the 1,000 largest U.S. companies ranked by revenue; non-U.S. companies in Fortune’s Global 500 database with revenues of $10 billion or more. Hay then selected the 15 largest for each international industry and the 10 largest for each U.S. industry, surveying a total of 652 companies from 30 countries. To create the 54 industry lists, Hay asked executives, directors and analysts to rate companies in their own industry on nine criteria, from investment value to social responsibility. A company’s score must rank in the top half of its industry survey to be listed.
I want to thank all of you for everything you do to make Intuit a great place to work and one of the world’s most admired companies. Congratulations team!
